Alkaisar Construction Company Limited is a reputable construction firm committed to delivering quality building and civil engineering projects. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented NYSC Quantity Surveyor (Corper) to join our project team as a Resident Site Quantity Surveyor.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in quantity surveying, construction measurement, project documentation, and site management.
Position Summary
The Resident Site Quantity Surveyor will be stationed at our project site in Ijebu and will be responsible for monitoring, measuring, recording, and reporting quantities of work executed on site. The successful candidate will work closely with the site engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure accurate project records and quantity tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily construction activities on site.
- Measure and record quantities of work completed.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site measurement records.
- Assist in the preparation of valuation reports and progress reports.
- Verify quantities for completed works and ongoing activities.
- Track material usage and maintain quantity records.
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and site observations.
- Support the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) where required.
- Maintain proper documentation of project records.
- Collaborate with the site engineering and project management teams.
- Attend site meetings and provide quantity-related updates.
- Ensure all measurements and records comply with company standards.
- Submit periodic reports on project progress and work quantities.
Requirements
- Must be a currently serving NYSC Corper in Quantity Surveying or a closely related field.
- Preference will be given to recently deployed corps members seeking a PPA.
- Good understanding of quantity surveying principles and construction processes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent record-keeping and reporting abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a site-based environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to reside at the project location for the duration of the assignment.

Work Schedule
